Privacy policy

This policy explains what the Hood Warfare game and the website at hoodwarfare.net (together, "Hood Warfare", "we", "us") collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run your account and matches, we don't sell your data, this website has no tracking scripts, and photos you use in the avatar creator never leave your device.
What we collect

Your photo stays on your device
The website's avatar creator reads a photo you choose inside your browser only to sample a few colors (skin, hair, clothing). The photo is never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's. Only the resulting avatar settings — for example {"skin":"#8d5524","hair_style":"fade"} — are saved to your account when you press Save. Closing the page or pressing "Forget photo" discards it.
Advertising (AdMob)
The Android game shows ads through Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads that pay Street Cash. Google may collect device identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID), IP address and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads, and may personalize ads where permitted and where you have consented. You can reset or delete your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads / Privacy → Ads). Where required (for example in the EEA/UK), the game asks for consent before personalized ads. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services. The website itself shows no ads.
Purchases (Whop)
Gold Bar packs and bundles are sold only on hoodwarfare.net and processed by Whop, our payment provider, under Whop's privacy policy. Whop shares with us what we need to credit your account (your player ID, the pack and the payment status).
This website
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party ad scripts.
- Your browser stores your session (sign-in tokens), a draft of your avatar settings and your site check-in streak in local storage on your device. Signing out clears your session.
- If you click "Continue with Google", Google Identity Services loads from Google to complete sign-in.
- Our hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare) processes request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
Public information
Your gangster name, avatar, level, stats and badges appear on leaderboards and at hoodwarfare.net/player/<name>. Your email is never shown publicly.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run Hood Warfare (hosting, email delivery for sign-in codes, payments via Whop, ads via Google AdMob, Google sign-in), when required by law, or to protect players and the service.
Retention
We keep account data while your account is active. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and debugging.
Your choices and rights
You can change your name and avatar any time. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your account data by emailing [email protected] from your account's email. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA) you may have additional rights, including objecting to processing and lodging a complaint with a data protection authority.
Children
Hood Warfare contains stylized violence and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We don't knowingly collect data from them; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Sessions use short-lived access tokens with rotating refresh tokens, connections are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), and match results are server-authoritative. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date. Significant changes will be announced in the game or on this site.
